The Forward Product Conference app ("the App") is provided by the Forward Product Conference organizing committee ("we", "us", "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy.

This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.

Information you provide

Name, email address, and role / company entered during check-in
Optional profile photo and social media handles (LinkedIn, Twitter)
Questions submitted via the Speaker Q&A feature
Workshop registrations

Information collected automatically

App usage data (screens viewed, features used)
Device type and operating system version
Push notification preferences

03 How We Use Your Data

To display your profile in the attendee directory (only if you opt in)
To manage your workshop registrations and send reminders
To send push notifications about sessions and schedule changes
To display your submitted Q&A questions to other attendees
To send the Time Capsule email approximately 6 months after the event
To improve future editions of Forward

04 Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with third parties for advertising purposes. Your profile is only visible to other attendees if you explicitly opt in to the attendee directory.

We use the following third-party services to operate the app:
Wix — ticketing and registration
Apple — push notification services

05 Data Retention

We retain your personal data for up to 90 days after the event, after which it is deleted or made available to you for export upon request.

The exception is the Time Capsule feature, where your note is retained until delivery approximately 6 months post-event and deleted immediately after sending.

06 Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Opt out of the attendee directory at any time within the app
Withdraw consent for push notifications via your device settings

07 Children's Privacy

The App is intended for adults attending a professional conference. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 16.

08 Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

09 Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or by email.
